Robotic Compliance Device
PushCorp’s “Compliance Device” is a technology that allows a robot to maintain contact with the part using controlled force, ensuring precision and repeatability in material removal applications (such as sanding, polishing, grinding, light milling, finishing, etc.).
How it works
Force control: in active devices, internal sensors monitor position, acceleration, and force to automatically adjust the applied force, even when the robot changes orientation or when there are curved geometries or irregular surfaces.
Automatic compensations: for example, compensation for tool/motor weight and acceleration, so that the force reading remains accurate regardless of external variations.
Mounting versatility: the compliance device can be mounted either parallel or perpendicular to the spindle, depending on the type of abrasive or application (e.g., discs, brushes, blades, scrapers, etc.).
